 Beach Essentials is a section to help you decide what to bring with you to the beach. Some standard things include sunscreen, bug spray, towels, chairs, coolers full of your favorite beverages. Maybe you want to bring a grill to cook out.

 On the Cape Hatteras National Seashore Recreation Area open fires are permitted below the high tide line. Be sure to completely extinguish your fire before leaving the beach and fill the fire pit hole back in so other drivers don’t hit your fire pit and damage their vehicle or get stuck.
